Gee, the company that fired him then runs its own poll to justify their
results. Did they do that for Dan Rather? Old Walter Cronkite knew full
well what he was doing when he hung up his hat!

Oops-well it sounded like a good argument. Sorry about that. What gets
me now is the media comparing Imus to Stern and Limbaugh. One can only
fire himself for what he says and the other is not on the public
airwaves. I understand we have diminishing freedoms nowadays, but free
enterprise (including the exhange of ideas like we are doing) is at the
core and people just don't understand! It's like Hillary saying "we"
should take some Big Oil's profits and help the needy!
Oh, if only Atlas would shrug!

I listened to those girls talk on TV, and if they werent coached then Im
not fanta46... Im tired of 1% of the population running my life and
telling me how to live.

The news came down in the middle of Imus' Radiothon, which has raised
more than $40 million since 1990. The Radiothon had raised more than
$1.3 million Thursday before Imus learned that he lost his job.

"This may be our last Radiothon, so we need to raise about $100
million," Imus cracked at the start of the event.

Volunteers were getting about 200 more pledges per hour than they did
last year, with most callers expressing support for Imus, said phone
bank supervisor Tony Gonzalez. The event benefited Tomorrows Children's
Fund, the CJ Foundation for SIDS and the Imus Ranch.

That is just it! You have the answer-the media. That, and a complete
lack of understanding and education as to how the free market system in
this country works. But the media played such a role in swaying public
opinion during the Vietnam era that they now feel they are "empowered"
to tell us how to feel on any given issue! Most of which they create
themselves!

That is why this government are traitors to us, The Constitution and our
forfathers. If they were here today they would be looking for the
tallest trees.

Oh hell, the forefathers had no idea of the innovation and attraction of
mass media when they framed this country and its constitution. If they
were here now, they'd all be doing blogs on Myspace and eating moonpies!
