Why is everyone just saying hi now? Makes no sense. There have been more decent conversations here than any of the other AZ posts and now it is just hi, hello, greetings, bla bla bla. How about the freaking hailstorm that swept Phoenix on the 5th? Crazy weather! Why isn't anyone talking about something that affected millions of people? I don't get people in Phoenix and I'm going on 4 years of being here. I work in north scottsdale and we had golf ball plus hail pummelling everything. I work insurance claims and it has affected most of Phoenix in one way or another and it will be at least six months for it to pass. Isn't anyone upset about their car or property damage from the freak hailstorm? Thoughts anyone?

Um...no > last messager (forgot your name..DoH!),,,my car was luckily in the garage at the time of said hailstorm & the hail was only the size of peas here in Mesa.

But Holidays & Hannukha everyone! Actually doing any shopping? No? Me neither.

You know it would be nice if the mingle2 people would post most recent comments in the AZ Forum category so one could at least see that there was recent activity...but then that would mean that they would also have the sense to allow a search by state...How does selecting 'within 15mls.' of my zip get me people from all 50 states? One of the reasons i'm not here very much...

Strangely enough, we're having flurries in Tombstone. So chilly outside. Wish I could find Her as I need Her to warm me up. Mentally AND physically...

i hope you love feeling like you just stepped into an oven every time you walk outside because it is going to get hot here REALLY fast.

If you think thats hot, try living in Ohio in the summer when its 90 and the humidity is 95%...

I used to live in Mesa..does that count? I love AZ, I'll take the dry heat any day!!

I'm chuckling at the post from April about the heat is going to kill us all. Hell the temps we had in April was a nice spring 80-90 degrees. Now that we're in the 115-118 range how are you feeling? After being on this site for quite a few years as well as trying a couple of the dating sites I've gathered that 1) People in Phoenix really are NOT friendly. When I first moved here 21 years ago I was totally shocked that everyone has huge wooden or block fences around their yards. They dont get to know their neighbors. 2) When I'm in a group of people I DO start conversations with total strangers and they look at me like I'm a lunatic (sorry folks I'm from the midwest where people get to know each other). 3) I am of the older group which makes it even harder to meet someone and 4) Guys in Phoenix seem to only want to meet the "Barbie Doll" kind of girls not caring that if they end up with them it will cost them a fortune (keep in mind those women have a lot of upkeep and YOU my dear man will end up paying for it). What a lot of older guys don't get is that THEY are not the same as they were 30 years ago either. Sure everyone wants someone they are attracted to and sad to say, but looks are the first thing they notice. What gets me is how RUDE a lot of the guys are Phx are (sorry to the ones that actually ARE nice as I'm not saying that ALL the men in Phx are rude). If you're on a dating site and not interested in even getting to KNOW the person before judging then don't respond or be a gentleman and decline nicely. I've been called a cow, whale, and many other names but some of these jerks. I am NOT a size 2 nor would I want to be. Thats the way it is, and I don't portray myself to be a thin thing. ---- Anyway sorry about the rambling but read all the posts about AZ and just had to vent about all the reasons I have found----On a happier note I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July! Hope to chat with ya all soon as I have met some very nice friendly people on this site.

The heat is not going to kill us...just stay inside. lol. I've been living in Phoenix my whole life. I think I'm used to the heat...I complain about it, but used to it.
