Should there be a price limit or gift limit for someone you met a few months ago? It's Birthday time and Christmas time; but I don't want to appear as a Sugar Mama....How much is too much?

25-30 dollars, honestly I would say 20...but it isn't like they are going to know how much you spent, hell just make them a card I'd personally enjoy that more myself as it is the thought that is meaningful not the gift.

The amount shouldn't matter..........the thought behind the gift is what is important.

You should spend what you're comfortable spending, both financially and emotionally. flowerforyou

I bought a Carhart hat and a nice shirt at Herb Phillipsons; but what about something that's more personal? What do ya get.

That depends on the person. I have a friend that I just meet a few weeks ago, they smoke so I got them a personalized Zippo lighter.

This is a hard question to answer cause everyone is different. One person's "too much" is cheap to someone else. Like so many others here, I would say that the amount does not matter near as much as what your gift reflects to the person your giving it to. Are we talking a friend, or more? The nature of the relationship and where you are going with it makes a big difference. A gift I give to a girl I met a few months ago and considered a really sweet friend is worlds away from what I would want to convey to someone I was wanting to develop an intimate relationship with. I am notorious at over spending and going a little overboard, but I feel that is all right as long as I feel comfortable with what I do. People that I want to know me will not see the gift as much as they will see what the feeling is behind the gift.

I think the limit should be considered by what you can afford and what you wanna spend.

Honestly, I'd keep it small and personal...something that just screams that person's name. But then again, that's generally how I shop for most people...to me, knowing someone is WAY more special than just being able to buy something expensive...
