I'm taking a macroeconomics class in college, lately we have been
reading articles in which we are supposed to apply the concepts learnt
along the semester, and this one seems interesting:
"shopping for a nobel ate Wal-Mart"
they state that walmart is generating jobs in third world countries, and
at the same time they are bringing low price products for us here in the
States
However, there are always complainers that say that thanks to wal-mart
there are a lot of unemployed people because wal-mart is taking out
labor that can be made by american employees.
I think that is ridiculous because this same people are buying things
from wal-mart a really low prices.
By the way wal-mart is my favorite place on america.

It's all free enterprise, LonelyWalker. The complainers don't understand
the neccesity for the economy to grow. "The governemnt should do
something about it!" is the cry of the ignorant.

I did time at Walmart in the early/mid 80s and some bozo came in the
store to buy shotgun shells and he had his shotgun with him...not in a
case, mind you..and carrying it in his hand, marching toward the back of
the store, with a look of determination on his face.

And I'm here to tell ya, I'll bet you have never seen a group of people
simultaneously hit the floor so fast in your entire life.

Actually, Walmart employs a lot of people where ever they have a store
at. You have stock people, clerks, manager, etc. employed at each store.
In fact in some parts, Walmart is the biggest employer, so they do help
the local area economics.

At the Walmart where my daughter works, I don't think it'd be too
far-fetched to say that it employs about a quarter of the town. Most of
the rest of the people work in Nashville or somewhere else nearby.

well if not convicted felon

he has the right to bear arms

it was not concealed obviously

more power to him

more of us should carry shotguns and rifles around

i bet the crime rate would drop big time if they thought that someone
may shoot back
