If you were selling an item and a friend sold it for you, but got an
amount above your asking price, would you feel obligated to give them
that extra amount?

Why or why not?

Yes I would, If they were nice enough to take the time to help you out
why not show your appreciation?

Hummm have had it happen before and yeah I gave them the extra they got
for it fair is only fair. I got what I wanted for the item which was a
fair price in itself lol Besides they took the time to help me out why
should I not help them out in the long run we both benifiet from the
deal.bigsmile

I would say let them keep the difference. If you are selling an object
and HAVE set the price, and they can get alittle extra ??.. let them
keep it for the "extra " work they provide...

If this is a business sale, ie, you work together, and are selling
company items then no .. they should not keep it NOR should you .... I
think I am confused ... LOL...

Jean

Your question will be answered with a question

How much is your friendship worth?

if you got your price what differnce does it make what they got

unless you had a prearranged agreement to split the overage

I believe they should get the xtra just for their time.think of it as a
tip of sorts.

Biker Bob, ethics are worth more to me than friendship.

rule #1 that i have:be honest.if you have someone sell a car for you and
your price is/was $4500.00 firm and they sold it for $6000.00 then they
get the difference for the time as well as their effort to sell
it.honesty IS the best policy.

if I'm getting the Q straight (just got up),
I would let her keep the extra plus what ever I told them I would share
as well.

When I had a friend selling my artwork for me, I would put my price on
it, and if she got more, she got to keep it. Granted, when something I
put $15 on, and she constantly got $50 for it, I did up my price to $25
after a while. Yeah, I suck at sales, LOL and am looking for someone to
replace her since she moved.
