Topic: Where in the World are the Knights in shining armour??

I'm no knight in shining armor. I can't save anyone from themselves.
The armor I do have is a thick skinned sensibility that protects me, but does little for anyone else.
I can't fulfill anyone's fantasy or slay their dragons, but what I can and will do is to be true to my own principles concerning fair play and courteous consideration of others.
In being true to myself lies the genuine capacity to be true to others. I think that's the best anyone can do or hope for.
All it takes is someones arms around you letting you know all will be alright. No biggie, tenderness compassion, love.

I kinda liked this, typical of what you find today.
Is the southern gentleman becoming extinct?

blushing If you are like me and dare I say have reached that glorious age...can I still expect to meet my Knight in Shining armour. You know the one that will always be there for me, love and protect me...and yes...still offer great sex??? Do let me know! (genuine question)
there's a few knights left but our armour aint so shiny anymo ohwell

Ah ManO, spoken like the wise man you are. Yes there are still a few around, dull armor and all.
This is actually the best age group IMO
but of course

That got messed up, lol. I am genuinely a knight in shining armor, and it appears to me that we are unappreciated today. It is nice to know that someone is still looking for one. And while friends can be a source of great comfort, they do not feed the same need that love does.

At this age, any knight worth his salt, would have banged up, severly worn armour.
If you want a fairy tale, keep dreaming.
If you want reality, then make your dream come true.
Lots of decent ladies & gents here, those worth knowing are REAL & need to be treated like real people.
I would MUCH rather deal with real folks, than those still dreaming of what never was.

Hard nosed old sage, aren't I.

frustrated frustrated flowers flowers slaphead waving winking
Yeap make your dream come true :)

I can only hope for and imagine that sweet confirmation. I can't make it happen. I can only try to be ready and worthy if it does.
"tenderness compassion love" It sounds easier to find than it actually is...at any age...ohwell

"I do believe deep down we all want that fantasy, regardless what that Knight looks like."

A fantasy to some my be the love of a good man, a long term loving relationship, the love that many of our parents shared.

This fantasy has been tarnish in today society. We live in a disposal world one that if you are not satsified your can just trade her or him in for a new model.

Instead of working out your problems everybody just heads to a lawyer.

What ever happen to the good old sit at the kitchen table communication. If you have a problem sit down and discuss it, don't hold it in to the point you can not stand the other person.

I fell out of love---bull. Your sex life has fallen apart. What that boils down to is you are bored. Get off your butts and make it interesting again. Think back to when you were dating and try some of those moves on you spouse.

Yes, I want the fantasy...I want the rest of my life kind of love. I will know when I have that love and that will be my Knight in Shining Armour.

Hi All

I met a few Knights -- unfortunately they are married to real nasty b*tchy women who don't deserve their hearts.
I'll take the fantasy anytime.
