is it that a person you would consider dating have a car...after recently moving to new orleans and realizing what a hassle it is to find parking in the french quarter i decided to sell my vehicle and get a bicycle instead...just curious how much that will matter...not that im gettin any dates anyways lol

I live where a car is vital.

I've dated a guy without a car. It was fine at first, but I think I preferred the guy to have his own car. I don't want to be doing all the driving. That makes me feel that I should be in control of where the date should take place. Not my role.

everything thats needed here is within walking distance...parking is a nightmare...vandalism rampant...ive had a car usually more than one at a time for the past 25 years...and actually still have 2 back where i came from...parking here costs as much as an apartment in many places..i just decided it wasnt worth it for now.

If you live in an area where a car isn't needed, I doubt it would matter for dating purposes.

As long as they're willing to use the metro, then bus, I wouldn't say they had to have a car here. But, they can't expect me to drive them around all the time.

I didn't mean just the water.

It's your life, and your stuff. None of my business.

Anyhoo, renting cars can be fun.

Personally, I could care less if the girl I dated had a car or not. Nine times out ten, I would be picking her up to go where ever anyway. With the money saved by not having a car, you could probably make up for it with the quality of the dates, so it could be beneficial. Also, being environmentally conscious is a popular thing now, so that may score you some points with tree hugging ladies. (women who like wood)

Be sure to ask on the first date if your gal minds sitting on the handlebars. It could get awkward if you spring this on her and she is in her best skirt....
