This is my thread dedicated to the eventual demise of pop-culture. We must work together if we are to ever bring down such a force as is pop-culture...I'll start by lighting the kindeling underneath, but I need you!

First on the list, we must embarass the icons. Then we will move onto the second goal.smokin

Someone strangle Madonna, please! She's polluted the planet with her self-righteous bull-honkey for near on twenty-five years now. Someone just HAS to do her in.

We must keep underground music, underground!

First rule of killing pop-culture.

Second rule of killing pop-culture, listen to the radio and stop watching music videos!smokin

Starting to sound like Fight Club, eh?smokin

But what about the poppy radio stations?

I listen only to community and college stations and NPR/BBC.

But without pop culture we wouldnt have Hanson.

Those chicks are so hot.

The Hanson comment was hilarious!

The only radio I can stomach is the oldies channel. The rock, pop or hip hop stations around here play about 4 hours worth of popular songs then repeat themselves endlessly. I hate that crap. Pretty much the reason I got several hundred cd's up at work.

In defense of pop culture I will say this...I can't help but wanting to bone all the pop queens...just a disorder of mine. (To this day, I still have my Cyndie Lauper fetish)

My question is, if your movement becomes at all popular, does your *movement* become *pop-culture*? frustrated

As you can see...not quite popular is it? Even then if it does get popular, it will be classed as a rebel movement...kind of like hippies in the 60's.smokin

Pop culture is like an annoying relative - as much as you hate it, it'll never go away.

Why even try? Let the mindless masses have their crap and the rest of us can go on enjoying the real talent.

We need to weed out the poppy bits...we are in a new frontier now, this world is not big enough for both cultures!smokin
