Is the motor vehicle commission as bad in any other states as it is in New Jersey?

Try Texas or Illinois......

I like it when you beg.

That said, I've lived in both and Florida is the worst because the Florida DMV actually has sovereignty beyond the legal system. In other words, even a judge cannot take, suspend or give a person his/her license. The DMV makes the call in a vacuum. That's why Florida has the highest number of arrests for driving on a suspended license - per capita, mind you - of any state in the US.

Gotta admit it though, I would love to have a job were 9-5 is not only the time I'm at work, but also the time on break. . .

If you go to the one here in my area, bring War & Peace along to read. The thing that pisses me off the most (aside from the waiting time), is if you go to the DMV in person, they charge you a $3.00 "counter fee"! Now, wait just a damn minute....I'm going there on MY time that I have to work in and accommodate to THEIR due date, with MY vehicle, using MY gasoline. I sign THEIR paycheck, yet they still want to charge me another $3.00 "counter fee" for them to do the job they're already getting paid for?? It's bad enough the damn license fees keep going up every year because THEY "need a raise". Maybe if someone lit the fire under their asses, they'd be DESERVING of a raise!

Yeah, I was wondering if any were actually good. At least here you can check how long the wait is online before you go.

My coworker in California told me the other day that you can make appointments at the DMV there. I wish we could do that here.

In California, I made an appointment with the DMV to wait in line, just so I could turn in some paperwork and leave.
