Darwin was exposed to Christianity in his youth, Mirror....

turned away later on...

but accepted Christ on his deathbed.

It was Christ who drew Darwin unto Him on his deathbed....

and MirrorrMirror...

when we are dying, who will be able to

resist the Awesome Drawing Power of God's Presence??

No one.

And who would even want to resist?

No one.

When are going to stop spreading this lie? The person who started that story all those years ago lied. Darwin did not have have deathbed renewal of faith. He dies as he had lived for most of his life an agnostic at the most. The story of his death bed conversion was made up by a woman a few years after he died. According to his family she was not there when he was on his death bed and if he had some conversion before he was on his death bed, how likely would it have been that he wouldn't tell his family.
God knows what was in his heart as he died, maybe he repented, maybe he didn't , who knowsdrinker
huh REPENT FOR WHAT?huh

frustrated I done explained this 10 timesfrustrated

slaphead I will explain it againslaphead

shades Charles Robert Darwin was a naturalist who proposed that all living creatures are related by common ancestors.shades Charles Darwin was born in England in 1809 and died in 1882.shades Darwin was a member of the Royal Geographical SocietyshadesHis Alma Mater was the Univerity of Edinburgh and the University of Cambridge.shadesHis academic advisors were Adam Sedgwick and John Stevens Henslow.shades His best known works were the "Voyage of the Beagle","On The Origin Of Species" and his theory of Natural Selection. He won several major awards in his lifetime. The Royal Medal in 1853,the Wallaston Medal in 1859,and the Copley Medal in 1864.shadesOne of his major influences was Charles Lyell, and he in turned heavily influenced Thomas Henry Huxley and George John Romanes.shades He was a member of the Church of England although his family had a Unitarian background, and he is known to have embraced Agnosticism after 1851shades

for whatever, nobody is pefect, that's what repentence is for, it's for anyone who desires too, even darwin

it could have been for anything, not the evolution thing, maybe he liked young rump of boy, and whole birds 'stead of feathers laugh
flowerforyou But he didn't have to repent for writing his SCIENCE books.flowerforyou
He didn't Have to repent for anything, I was just meaning we don't know what goes on in someones heart and mind on their death bed, he could have or not, we just don't know for sure. Just because I don't believe in the theory, I'm not saying he was a bad person or anything, it's just not my call drinker

So if Hitler repented before he died, he was forgiven and now lives in your heaven? What about Ted Bundy, maybe he repented also.

Once a person is born of God,

nothing will be able to shake his/her Faith.

Simply because that person is literally born again in his/her spirit...

or...born of God...and nothing can take that away.

It is impossible for one to become unborn,

once a person is born in the flesh.

Same goes with being born again in the spirit ..

or being born of God.

Which is what the true meaning of a christian is....

someone who is born again

:heart::heart::heart:

I have news for you. You are wrong. I grew up in the church and when I was teenager, I became very active in the church. When I was seventeen, I was baptized. ABRA!!!!!!!!!!laugh

"THE EARTH DOES NOT MOVE " ...........MEANS THIS:

THE EARTH IS PLACED EXACTLY 93 MILLION MILES FROM THE SUN...

ROTATING ON ITS AXIS....

AND ROTATING AROUND THE SUN ON ITS EXACT ORBIT...

AND NOT SPINNING AIMLESSLY SOMEWHERE INTO OUTER SPACE!!!

IF THE EARTH WERE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT CLOSER TO THE SUN,

MAN AND ALL LIFE ON THIS PLANET WOULD BURN UP!!

AND IF THE SUN WERE JUST A TAD FURTHER FROM THE SUN,

WE WOULD ALL FREZE TO DEATH!!!!!

SO...."THE EARTH DOES NOT MOVE"...MEANS....

GOD PLACED THE EARTH AT JUST THE EXACT DISTANCE FROM THE SUN,

IN ORDER TO SUSTAIN LIFE ON THIS PLANET!!!!!!!

IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE EARTH DOES NOT ROTATE AND REVOLVE ....

IT DOES.....

BUT ......IT STILL STAYS WITHIN IT EXACT ORBIT IN SPACE!!!

SO DO ALL STARS AND PLANETS AND MOONS IN SPACE !!!!

NONE ARE SPINNING AIMLESSLY INTO OUTER SPACE!!!

THEY ARE ALL FIXED IN PLACE !!!

I HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE....

ONE HAS TO HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO

RIGHTLY DIVIDE AND INTERPRET THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD OF

GOD!!!!!!!

MAN WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRT TO GUIDE HIM,

CAN AND WILL MAKE GOD'S WORD SAY ANY OLD THING HE WANTS TO!!

EVERYTIME!!!!:heart::heart::heart:

:heart::heart::heart:

The current location of the Earth is only a short moment in time of the Earth's life. It will eventually be closer to sun and incapable of life as we know it. There is no magical design to make it so. It is possible that life could have existed on Mars or Venus long ago.

Or reason?

What makes you think that whatever it is, it makes any difference? Or that I even care? Unless it involves me, Kim Basinger and a bottle of chocolate syrup, I fail to see any motivation for continuing this game.

I wonder how many people here have actually listened to "Creation Scientists". I'd be willing to be only a handful of people have.

I think it's best to listen to both sides.

It's a hot topic not "just" because of it's earth shattering ideas but because it isn't 100% (either way; if your in the evolution camp, Science doesn't have absolutes...so don't preach them ;) ).

Anywho. I think the Church is very disappointing. Because they don't talk in-depth about these topics. Republicans are retarded because some think their Christian and just screw things up for Christians (if we didn't need any help...lol; we got cheating pastors, gay priests, and money grubbing leaders).

But also on the other side. I think people who believe in Evolution should be more open to listening.

Science, by nature, ALWAYS has an open ear. I say this because the day we stop testing something, is the day it's not as valid. I say this because what if tomorrow, randomly a meteor hits earth and we lose gravity. Wow, there goes a bunch of "facts" (there are no "facts" in science, just verifiable ideas based on past tests).

Creationism has a lot of questions to answer, if it's really true. Evolution does as well.

I'm not trying to preach Creationism. Nor Evolution. I just think both sides should open up a little more and dialogue about this "hot topic".

-Happy Learning and Growing.

Im not exactly certain what the Creationist argument is exactly? Is it that god created Adam and Eve and they alone proliferated the human species from that point on? Okay but that doesn't really require any evidence. None that I can think of off the top of my head anyway.

What I do become frustrated with is the creationist view of the scientific community in general and their disposition. They act as if attempting to unravel such a simple, straightforward matter as the evolution of life over the course of the last 2.7+ billion years is a piece of cake. It really is not. Of course scientists have encountered certain difficulties and differences of opinion on the matter.

But for goodness sake, that does not mean that the theory of evolution is a house of cards and creationism is self-evident. I find that whole POV annoying as all get out.

The Creationist/ID "counter argument" to Evolution is simply goddidit.
Back when this movement first started, they went further, and stated that it was the god of the bible that did it, but since that got thrown out by the Supreme Court, then have backed off to and un-named god being behind it. But, it doesn't even take much of an IQ to see that while they publicly leave the imaginary friend un-named, that friend is still that god of the bible.

Thanks. I actually did have to do a search online and Kent Hovind seemed to be the big creationist and he was coming up in the searches but he's in prison now for tax evasion. I guess there are other creationist scientists but Im just not aware of their names. He seems to also be the subject of much criticism and controversy and not just from the scientific community. Other Creationists find him a bit disruptive and not the best poster boy for their mission.

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God..."

Why is it assumed that people who believe in evolution do not believe in a creator?

Hello happy *

Mainly because the Bible says that God created man in his image, yet evolution says we evolved from primates. Not really a grey area there unless God's image is a chimp... atleast that's my opinion.

Why is it assumed that God's image means in physical shape and size and not in the ability to think, learn and reason.
