Offer to take couples cooking classes together! Positive reinforcement will get you further in building a cohesive relationship rather than using negative comments that don't provide resolutions.

On a side note, my boyfriend is a Chef and cooks me amazing food all the time. He's never once complained about my cooking even though I know it's not nearly as good as his.

for example... if she made you chicken and it's dry. Tell her "you know, I tried this recipe once and the chicken came out so juicy and tender" that kind of thing. Never come out and say "you suck at cooking" or anything like that.
