I'd say something because that's just the way I am. What are they gonna do, hurt me by calling me a name?

But..what about hurting their feelings?

They're taking a dump in a public restroom. I would think hurting their feelings is the last thing they should be worried about.

They're behind closed doors for privacy. I would think that they are in pain and already embarrassed.

You are in a public bathroom and it sounds like someone is turning themselves inside out in one of the stalls (like an episode of Robot Chicken). Do you try to ignore it or do you say something?

Is "Hey, do you need an excorcist?" one of those questions if you do say something?

Guess my parents brought me up incorrectly. They taught me things such as decorum, sensitivity, manners, and empathy.

I guess that your parents knew my parents.

Everyone has a different thickness of skin...what might crack me up...may throw someone else into a hissy fit... *shrug* In the REAL WORLD...no one as ever been mortified by what I have said...in fact they end up laughing with me. Kinda' makes us feel "human"...

Fortunately, I don't suffer from that hangup, and I don't have any problem saying what's on my mind. If somebody is gonna start crying because I'm aware they have a fart crossways, then they have more problems.

I don't consider manners to be a hang-up. I'm raising my child to have manners.

So I should make my comments with "please" and "thank you" attached?

No. It's just that you considered it to be a hang-up. I don't. I don't feel that having manners and not saying anything is a hang-up.

The hangup I refer to is, I don't go through life worrying about what other people think of what I say or do. If they like it, fine. If they don't, that's okay, too. I'm still gonna sleep soundly at night.

I would call the ambulance, that someone is giving birth in the toilet.

Imagine paramedics breaking down the door and finding a guy battling with a giant sh1t?

This actually did happen to me once.

I was in a bathroom stall in a studio, doin' my business when I heard someone rush into the stall next to mine. I heard pants get unzipped and something heavy land on the toilet. Then I heard a great deal of heavy grunting and teeth-gnashing, with sounded like a torrent of items splashing into water, almost like someone dropped a large number of rocks or something.

Then I heard pants zip back up, the stall door blast open, and the fella run back out. I don't even think the fella even bothered to wipe up afterward.
