Topic: Dreaded Valentines Day | |
---|---|
So, I've been seeing someone for just a few weeks now...maybe three weeks?
I should add I am almost 50 and he is in his mid 50's. The relationship (if you can call it that) is comfortable and I enjoy his company but beyond that I am unsure where it is going. (Read this as I am NOT head over heels, in lust or otherwise bonkers about him) Now...the dreaded day Valentines Day is arriving. He wants to get together and ask me what I would like to do that day. I am at a loss... Nothing too romantic but not a play date either. So here I am asking for suggestions for the day. |

It's not really a creating false hope thing. I am not playing any games. Do I like him enough to sleep with him? Yeah, am I in love? Nah...
At my age I think I have fewer starry eyed day dreams about relationships than someone younger might have. My approach is more practical and open. Just unsure. I like Lilith's answer. Thanks for all the replies. |

I hope you two have a blast, no matter the outcome or day.
I just think Valentine's Day this early in the game is a bad idea all around. It reeks of expectations and such, ya know? |

haha
Yeah, the weather here this weekend was perfect for that. I expect to see taps on trees any day now. All leading up to our infamous and somewhat scary Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival in Vermontville Michigan that's held the last full weekend of April. I usually avoid it but I think I will go this year for the parade and a few beers. |

ahhhhhhhhh this is hard because its so new and you dont want him to go "overboard" if there is just a mutual "like".....
The maple syrup thing sounds like a good idea. |

Oh, everyone's invited to the Syrup Fest Saturday night the last full weekend in April. Maybe I will see you there in the Maple Leaf Bar hahah |
