Twenty pages of responses to this thread and no one thought to check the story out?? ADMINISTRATION PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD This child either does not exist or has been found already. www.missingkids.com is one of those places on the web that's doing God's work certainly but they aren't omnipotent. I found some other sites with this alert listed and a few even had links back to the missingkids page. Clicking on those links led to a notice on that site: "Sorry! The case you requested does not exist or has been removed from the site." Does anyone know - Does that notice mean this kid was found or that she never really existed? I googled her name several ways and didn't come up with much of anything. This makes me think it was a hoax from the get-go which is incredibly annoying in many ways. Simple fact is, after missing for so long, a case is put on the backburner as unlikely to be solved for whatever reasons. This is not to say that authorities dont keep looking, but they can only spend so much time per child as they have new cases coming to them every day that are just as important. Also, someitmes it does not get mentioned when a child is found, cause people are so relieved for the child to be found that the forget to notify the different agencies that are putting information out. Also, those of us that keep an eye on the current amber alerts, dont always get the notification of when a child has been found, and thus dont get to post that they were found. We do our best to keep all information current, but cant always do so. |
