Then you sink down to the level of the criminal.

I know much worse ideas then death of physical pain. Emotional pain is the Achilles' heel in all people, no exception. Find his weak point and repeat it over and over.

Definition of Hell - repetition of pain of the soul.

There was an inmate sentenced to death at midnight tonight, but our state has stayed his execution over some concerns over the lethal injection.

The family of his victim is devastated - in 1991 he spent 30 hours torturing, raping and murdering a woman and her body was found in a car trunk.

Sometimes it is too bad the punishment can't fit the crime. She suffered for 30 hours and he was going to get a quick shot in the arm. I worked in the prison system at the time and I remember this case really well.

Guess I have become cynical and jaded in my old age, sorry if I have offended anyone, but this is one scary inmate.

To bad this didn't happen in Texas, we have an express lane for the people on death row. grumble

Sometimes I wish the jury could choose the sentencing. Torture a girl for 30 hours and then kill her? I would choose a slow, torturous death right there in the courtroom (for humiliation purposes).

:D

'Justice system' is such an oxymoron sometimes...

yes we do, the only state with the balls to do the right thing, even if it's "unpleasant". You kill someone and get caught you should die, period. What really is irritating is we have murderers in our prison system who get better treatment than honest citizens out there trying to make a life. Now under our new administration, terrorists also get the red carpet, what's next?

The only good thing is that he doesn't know when he is going to die, now. That could be worse than knowing when it is going to happen.

Maybe this is his 30 hours of torture.

Maybe they should start and stop executions more often.

Make peace with your god.
Wait.
Make peace with your god.
Wait.
Make peace with your god.
Wait.
Make peace with your god.
Wait.
Make peace with your god.
Wait.

OK, now, KABLAM!
