 Gimme a minute to think of a comeback, Robbi!  ***EDIT*** Okay.... <<<< This picture was taken in back of Robbi's house on September of '07. A bunch of us paid her a visit, and she was gracious enough to open up her home to us. We spent the day under the shade trees in back, just passing the time, bullsh!tting, and enjoying each others' company. She's quite a nice lady....who likes to flash people as they drive away from her house.

Well, we haven't met in person, but I've talked to Mikey on the phone. He's the same sweet, funny man he is here. He's a genuine sweetheart!

I have met a couple of people that were first met on here and have talked to several others. Can honestly say that each and every one of them were identical to their profiles. Though "Rains" wonderful accent did catch me off guard...delightfully so might add.
And Winx's St. Louis accent brings up memories of growing up there. Have not been disappointed in any of the face to face meetings or phone conversations. Each and everyone are who just like the present themselves here.

People I have spoken to on the phone count? Right on! but first.... Phuque is such a sweetheart...she was the first woman I met when I came onto my first on-line thing....loved her then...met her and loved her more...love her to this day. Got fortunate enough to meet Phuque2....really a very cool, mellow, artistically ecclectic man of martial experience. It is a real priviledge and honor. Made the entire internet freakshow worth while. |

Before I met Dan99 for the first time, he kept warning me that he was not as funny in real life as he was online. He took me to dinner, atop the CNTower on his last night in town before flying to America (and it's a pretty classy joint). I was hyperventilating during dinner when he posed for me with a piece of spinach hanging to his Adam's apple. I think he might have been hoping I'd choke. He also let me wear his sweater on that last cold night coming home from Ottawa as I'd stupidly forgotten to pack my own. However crass (or should I say 'ass'?) he might appear, he is truly a gentleman and a wonderful, generous and appreciative house guest. He also got lost quite a few times, once when his driver was too stupid to pay attention to my directions, once in downtown Toronto, and once in Ottawa. Or maybe I was just trying to lose him! I think, besides Robin, he's probably my best online friend and one with whom I've no doubt I'll always keep in touch. An extremely laid-back person, a definite last-minute planner, amiable, and agreeable to any alternate suggested plans. Heck, even my parents liked him, and that's one tough feat! That day at the CNTower was hilarious. She was hysterical for a good half hour or so, i even have some of it on video somewhere! We were behaving like a couple of school kids, and considering its a fairly classy joint, we must have looked pretty bad! I have bought her a couple of dinners to say thanks to her now, but really im still in her debt for everything she has done for me. She has driven me MILES! I have probably sat next to her in her car for something like 30-40 hours. She also let me stay at her place and even gave her bed up for me(and my girlfriend, which was BRAVE! haha). She is a fantastic host, and one day i'll probably invite myself over to hers again for another visit. She is certainly one person from online that i will stay in touch with. Classy is a good way to describe her. But she is also down to earth, and if you mix that up with her extreme good looks, then you get a very special package. Great sense of humour and fun to be around. We get along like we are the best of friends, and i guess that is because, we are! (though online we are both quite lazy!). I even liked her kids, they were great, and i normally hate kids! Shes a fantastic mum. I could go on, but i dont want her getting a big head, i gotta stop! |

The only other person I've met personally who posts with any regularity is mommyof1. She's a doll, funny, sweet, good heart, an absolute joy! She's has an adorable son, aka...'lil man'.

Oh man....the women I have spoken to from this site do not disappoint...I have yet to speak to a women from Mingle who was not an absolute gem!
SitkaRain.....baby, that drawl just melts me...I thought you were just trying to mess with me...But, no darlin....You got my favorite accent. No harm, no foul. I'm just attempting to get others to describe the personalities and personal experiences they've had with meeting others from this site, so that those who HAVEN'T met would have a little better idea of who that person is, and what to expect if they should ever meet. Some folks may have a preconceived idea about somebody that may be entirely off-base according to somebody else who has already met them in person.
Y'know?  For instance (and I'm going to use Dan as an example - sorry, Dan), people may have never met Dan in person, and only know the kind of person he is from his posts on the forum (or what they THINK the kind of person he is). I HAVE met Dan in person, so I may put to rest some misconceptions that others who have NOT met him may have made about him. |
