Hi Folks,
New kid on the block here. I have a question about the mutual matches. How do those come about? Are they randomly computer generated or requested by real users? The reason I ask is I have had some requests from some women I find very attractive and yet when I check out their profile, it states not to contact them if married (which I am). So I find it confusing. They request a match but it's contrary to the preferences they've set. Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi there. I am also new here and am having the same problem with mutual matches. I get a message that someone wants to meet me on mutual match. I check them out and decide if I want to become a match (mutually). Then, I wait and wait, but no emails or contact from them. I emailed one, and introduced myself after he requested the mutual match, but he has not responded to my email. So what is going on??? frustrated

I think they are initially based on your search criteria and then if you both show interest, you have a mutual match.

I have found most mutual matches are based on pictures alone. They don't read the profiles before clicking yes based on the pictures. Which explains why a lot of people who contact their mutual matches don't get answers. After reading you find out you aren't a match at all outside of admiring each others looks.

Actually I think it matches if they have viewed your profile. I do not even look at them myself.

Why are you on here if you are married, though?? Out of Curiousity??

It's best just to completely ignore the Mutual Match feature.

A person isn't allowed to have friends anymore once they get married?

Didn't say that was asking his motivations, did not see a specifications of friends, just a question.

Am I not allowed to ask a question??

BTW Welcome to mingles!!

Well, welcome aboard and I'm sure you will get the hang of stuff more as you go, but don't rely on MM. Lots of matches, but I rarely actually hear from them, even if I make the initial intro. I know they are for sure MM's when they are in that pile on the left, but I've spoken with VERY FEW!!! drinker

I've been on the site for a while, just haven't hit the forums much. But, I had asked a similar question about MM, and was told that it's people with photos who fall into your search criteria as far as geography. *shrug* I've had a few that kept saying "yes" or "maybe" to me, but when I'd email them, I wouldn't get a response, so now I tend to ignore the "someone wants to meet you" emails, lol.
