Is there any women on here even serious enough to put some effort in actually meeting up?, or are they all here to only play message tag and make pen pal friends?...

Oh, I'd like to meet with a couple of the guys here, but I would prefer to meet only guys who are relatively close to me (100 miles or so). If I really do meet someone that I eventually want to settle down with, I don't want to leave the upper midwest, nor do I think it's fair to expect someone to leave their home, family and friends to be with me.

I'm here to meet someone in person, someone that will step up and step away from the computer -- BUT, I am having fun also.
 I find most guys are only here for the chase of befriending someone on line but not wanting to take it further. Alas, I still have hope!

I am willing to meet and I have. However, I am just not going to meet someone after exchanging a couple emails. I prefer to spend sometime to get to know them first before deciding on meeting in person.

I spent 7 months with an online conversation (not here but another site) now in part it was because I'm St. Louis and he is in Seattle. I mean of course we talked on the phone and did the web cam thing, but it just didn't end up working out for various reasons. I'm all for meeting someone and it doesn't take 7 months for me to do it, but I have to feel comfortable enough with that person to actually meet them and you can't place a time frame on that.

Depends. If emailing is going good. The person can construct a whole and complete sentence. Then I will offer to talk on IM. If within a week or two things are going well. And the person appears to be sincere, honest and genuine, then I will agree to meet them. Most of the time I can pick on the jerks and scammers and non-compatible people right away. |
