intiative when interested in a person? Is it the chase or is the fact that a man is supposed to pursue? I am all about chivalry and all that, but man, its 2009. I like an independent woman that knows what she wants. If she wants it, she goes for it. I find it the same in bars and even on mingle. I wanted to know what others think. I am sure many will say that they show interest or will pursue a man, but I do seriously doubt it. I think its men pursuing women. Gets kind of old. Whats your take?

If you can't do it, what makes you think they can?

No I can do it. Its just a real question. On most sites, the men out number women dramatically. Like I said, just wondering. I think any man would find it very flattering if a woman approached them.

No one wants something that comes to us easily. We like to work for and feel like we accomplished something to gain what we have. I have a good amount of women approach/flirt with me in my day to day life, and honestly, it can be a turn off. I want the woman who plays hard to get, the one who I have to work for...She's the fun one!

Oh gawd! slaphead Another generalization post! slaphead

If she wants you, she will have initiative; otherwise, she is not interested.

If she wants you but doesn't make a move then she is playing games -- move on.

The advice is converse. winking

I don't see the problem here. whoa

Try to make yourself like the great Elvis. He had girls throwing panties at him.

So if you say girls don't take initiative.. then you are wrong haha

Perhaps you should re-explore your approach to meeting women. You want to meet independent thinking girls at a bar? Wrong answer....they are out to get laid at bars. On Mingle, you have to have a stright forward approach and ask well thought questions to get respectable answers.

This is an example of an immature, game player you have exampled. Why play hard to get? That is lame and is a symptom of bigger issues.

I think men are more than likely intimidated by strong, confident women that approach them. Your balls shrink up and you feel out of control.

Oy! slaphead

I do agree, however, that overly aggressive women can be a turn off. I just think there is an achievable balance.

I chase no man! If he wants me he better pursue me. If he doesn't..well his loss.

If you're interested in someone, let them know. Why wait around? This goes for men and women. However, complaining about women not making the first move is not going to help.
