laugh I'm not positive but I think it is a combiation of several
things. When he came onto the scene the good ole boy network of racers in
the South had the sport pretty much to themselves. It's kinda like
family and G.W. Bush. Yer one of us or your one of them. First off he is
a Yankee. (the Civil War has not ended here yet)When I moved down
here...thats all I heard when I spoke (You ain't from round heer are
ye?Hock...Spit)lol. Then ..he is a short little nasally punk that
complained about the good ole boys a lot. (They din't lak att too much).
Then...when he started to win...(They din't lak att tuther)So somebody
started all the rumors that he is gay.(Taint no place down heeeya fo no
gay boy)laugh drinker Double Hocker....PittOOOOeeeee!!!bigsmile

Well...I don't think Jr. needs Tony Jr. if he can hook up with a good
team. BUT...I think Tony will follow him because it is in the wind that
he may use his own garage but drive for another. This is just one of the
options. Nobody knows what kind of money is being offered. i hope he
doesnt go with Hendricks..He doesn't fit that mould very well. I think
Childress fits him better.

I like Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordonbigsmile

Wed 05/23/07 10:26 PM
Broken ..you won't loose rooting for those 2. They are 2 of the top
drivers. Jr. will be even better when he settles into a good team that
will keep up with the times. It takes money to make money and Teresa
would not give it up so...she lost!!

Mark Martin to sub for Jeff Gordon when baby arrives? If #24-Jeff Gordon
is forced to miss a race to attend the birth of his daughter, series
veteran Mark Martin will man the #24 DuPont Chevy, multiple sources
within the Hendrick Motorsports organization told ESPN.com Wednesday.
Martin on Wednesday afternoon will be fitted for a racing seat in
preparation for the substitute role, sources said, and plans to begin
stand-by duty for Gordon at Infineon Raceway next month. Hendrick
Motorsports officials chose not to comment, saying rather that Gordon
would address the matter Thursday at Lowe's Motor Speedway, site of this
weekend's Coca-Cola 600. Sources said Gordon personally sought out
Martin to stand in for him, and after clearing the idea with Ginn Racing
officials, Martin gladly accepted. Gordon's wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, is
due the week of the June 24 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma. Martin will
fly to Sonoma, during a weekend when he is slated to be idle from
racing. If Gordon doesn't require his services, Martin will remain on
hand to coach Regan Smith in the #01 US Army Chevy [Ginn Racing].
According to NASCAR officials, Martin could get in the #24 without
practicing in the car, so long as Nextel Cup director John Darby gives
his blessing. Given Martin's veteran experience, that would seem to be
all but a foregone conclusion. If baby Gordon arrives a week early,
sources said Martin will turn the #01 Chevrolet over to Smith at
Michigan Speedway and drive the #24 for Gordon. Likewise, in the event
the baby is a week late, Martin would sub for Gordon at New Hampshire.
Gordon hasn't missed a race in his Cup Series career, a span of 484
consecutive races. The last race run without Gordon in the field was the
28th race of the 1992 season, at Phoenix International
Raceway.(ESPN.com)(

OK I like Newman because most of the time he is consistent you know top
5 top ten finishes though Im kinda hating this new points system because
you bust your ass all season to make those last ten races and risk
losing it all by one DNF thats not right in my book I believe consistent
finishs and and good qualfiying should win a points series

Good qualifying does not make you a good racer. Some guys do not know
what to do when in traffic! The aero and the ability to get in and out
of jams while still gaining on the leader makes you a great racer. Going
around in circles without a soul around just shows who has the best
QUALIFYING car and a decent driver. A race setup can be very different
from the qualifying setup. The tire grip goes away after a certain
amount of laps so you have to have the car prepared properly to handle
that situation. It's a hell of a balancing act and a team effort
including pit stops. The pole winner very rarely wins the race.

Sterb you can talk in here all you want!! no need to be sorry. All the
tracks have good and bad points . That is what makes the sport
interesting and tough for the drivers and crews to adapt to the
different environments.
