My thoughts... If they shut down the internet, they shut down independent thinking and a source for alternative information.

We face computer threats and viruses every day, nothing new, and most "schemes" people can see thru who typically use the internet.

It's just more control thru fear and a negative action that hurts and limits peoples ability to communicate.

Would the next step after blocking our communication be marshal law and FEMA camps? Makes sense to me! Take away our ability to communicate and you have an open door to such an agenda.

Check out Warmachines latest post!

I personally think we only need virus programs because the virus's are coming from those who make the virus software..rofl Ok you can laugh now. Is it true? Is it a conspiracy, sounds legit, but is it real?

I guess I am just not built to see negative in everything, I need a whole lot of information and not just one sided.

People are just as bias online as they are off line, getting the correct information is as difficult to get as it is in the media. People creating fear are also those who are so fucused on threats that they actually believe everything they are being pumped full of on biased sites. If I said that right.

While there are things from all sources that ring true, one can't be sure what is behind anything.

I agree that the internet is a useful tool it can also be used to create axiety as well. Would I shut it down, no, but I also don't know to what extent the bad guys can use it to harm others either. Do I think we tend to go too far one way or the other in solving our problems, YES.

So until I have more information and not just people seeing threats every where they turn I can't take it completely seriously either way.

Sorry Sojourning, I have extremely slow dialup, tired of waiting an hour to download 5 minutes of utube.

I read an article the other day about just how easy it would be to take down the internet. Take out about half a dozen physical sites (buildings) just in the U.S. and the rest of the internet around the world would fall like dominoes under the extra load. I predict it may fail the first time it is presented, then something major will coincidentally happen as a proof in point then the next day it will pass overwhelmingly.

I think you will be proven correct. It will happen, as always, coincidentally.

Problem Reaction Solution.

They create the problem, wait for the masses to clamor for a solution and they provide the solution, which is the policy, the tyranny that they wanted all along.

When the Patriot act was on the board, someone in the Bush Admin. said that they could finally do the things they had been wanting to do all along.

I'm a bit confused about which Nation you refer to.
Are you in Germany? If so, internet interruption wouldn't affect you.
Are you here, in the US?
Can you clarify, please?
I just now, thought to look at your profile, now, I'm not confused any longer.
Never mind.
