In life i have come to see that it is true. Nice guys(like me) finish last. Why? I do believe that quote has some truth to it. I went through and suffered from my dating (only wanting) bad boys stage. Knowing a lot of girls, some haven't grown out of it yet but I met a nice guy recently in a time during my life that I'm ready for something real. If you can't find a girl who is looking for a nice guy then she probably isn't right for you. However... Sometimes "nice guy"= door mat and a lot of girls will take advantage of it. Good luck and just be patient. |

I always wanted to be seen as the nice guy before my divorce, because I wasn't shopping.

If you can't find a girl who is looking for a nice guy then she probably isn't right for you. However... Sometimes "nice guy"= door mat and a lot of girls will take advantage of it. Good luck and just be patient. Very good point, I would also like to add that every guy has a certain amount of "nice guy" and "bad boy" in them. Obviously some will have more of one than the other, the trick is to find a woman who is compatible with their specific mix. |

I saw this post earlier today have pondered on it for a bit . The conculsion I have come to is we live in a time where the fast food mentality is pervasive. Style over substance. There has been a fundemtnal shift in How and what people look for in a mate .Physcial and Financial Makeup have replaced values and integrity . Then again , people have always told me i am a hopeless optimist , so what do i know

Nice guys tend to be doormats, they are apathetic and lack passion. They aren't opinionated or strong willed. Nice guys, at least self proclaimed ones, tend to be resentful towards people with whom they have given or done something for.... and thus bitter. It NOT up to the person to decide if they are nice, it's up to the others in their life. And truly nice guys finish first. I hear this a lot and it's true. Exactly. You won't get anywhere as a "nice" guy, as you'll be passed over every time. You can be a "good" guy... you can be a "respectable" guy... you can even be a "generous" guy. But being a "nice" guy won't get you anywhere. Stand up for yourself and be counted- if you're being jerked around by a chick because she's "isn't in the mood" or is feigning being "tired", then turn around and call her on it, and don't sugar-coat it. After all- it's YOUR time they're wasting, and for you to just sit there and take is just insulting to you. |

Let me put it another way -- rephrasing the saying:
*** NICE GUYS CUM LAST!!! *** In that sense, I can consider a guy as "VERY NICE"!

Normally due to they are not as nice as they portray themselves to be....they say nice guys and end up azzholes...........not saying that is your case but 95% of the time it's true.

If nice men went for NICE WOMEN and jerk men went for jerk women and vice versa then the universe would be as it should be, nice people together and jerk people together... There is sooooooooooo much more to people than what they tell you, than what they show you or what you see on your own.. I know people that most think they're great.. why are they great? b/c they're pretty.. but the inside of them is ugly and men say "why does she like the jerks?" b/c she IS A JERK and goes for jerks and be thankful otherwise her jerky meanness would rip your heart out..
