My reply to this is yet again ,apples and oranges. Its always been illegal to torture in this country regardless of the reasons.Not to mention the moral implicationsThe law is the law, and no one should be above it.That is the true debate on this issue.

When it comes to Taliban or any other religious extremist engaged in hostile acts, torture should be applied! The harshest most humiliating and most religiously reviled (by their standards) methods should be used. No pansy treatment should be allowed. Blood for blood. We need to be poking out more of their eyes. This isn't an eye for an eye time, this is a "KILL THEM ALL" time.
