Here is the situation

The US has in custody an individual that provides proof without a doubt that New York will be attacked with a nuclear weapon within twenty four hours.
Our intelligence on where the weapon is, is suspect at best. Using the accepted methods of interrogations has revealed nothing for 7 days. Would you as president let New York be obliterated or would you authorize enhanced interrogation procedures such as waterboarding.

Don't you ever, ever! underestimate the intelligence resources of this country. Posing a question like that only proves the inquirer has not got a clue what they are talking about.

Waterboard, electrocution, cuttin off a finger at a time, whatever it took to get the info outta the person. It's one person compared to millions.

I hope we don't ever face that choice. With the new policy in place it seems to me that New York City would disappear. On the bright side, we could always say we kept a higher moral standard.

As there is no reason to believe that torture results in accurate intell, why waste the time?
