Homelessness is not a topic to joke about...I've been there & done that...it's definitely no fun! But if you INSIST upon an answer...then I'd have to say Florida...where I was born & raised. In Orlando, there is a homeless person under every bush...enjoy your new life! huh

In this economy I say be grateful that you still have a job......there are plenty of people that would love to have a job and don't

homeless? that's a hard choice to want to take. I could understand if your not working , can't pay the bills, have no family or friends that can or will help? But to just give up? never....But who am I to say what drives people to that? been done for no reason all the time. well good luck. but the south is the place to be if homeless, at least you won't freeze over a ventilation grate....

There is no state best to be homeless in. Homeless is homeless. It sucks and is a very scarey world to live in.

I bet there are a lot out of those millions of homeless who would love to have your job.

Homeless is not funny and is not wanted by the lagest majority of them. Not talking about those that are clean and wearing clean clothes asking for handouts. Some of those need to get off their asses and get a job somewhere. Even if it is a fast food place. But there are so many that can't and aren't allowed the luxury of a job.
Those with children and families that are trying to stay together due to circumstances not of their control.

Please don't make this less than it is. If you don't like you job...find another. Making light of homelessness is not cool.

I cannot tell if you are serious, joking, or simply feel sorry for yourself. I think this thread needs a little clarification.

Actually the secretarial job, which is more clerical..it sucks..I can't go into it, and yes I could do the other, the cosmo thing, which I am preparing to take boards as we speak, but just in case that doesn't work, I want to be prepared..

Well I pretty serious, I can't take it much more..I loathe my job. I dread getting up in the morning and going there.

Then my suggestion would be; change jobs. Work while looking. Many people don't really like their jobs...but it is harder and harder to find a job of any caliber right now.

i've been there. i had a job once that i hated so much that i was becoming physically ill because of it. stomach aches, headaches, tension.

i was thinking of the homeless thing but because i'm close to being laid off. i was thinking that anyplace with a large beach area would be good because they usually have showers and toilets. then you just have to worry about food money and a place to crash.
i would say, sell all of your stuff and buy a used buy reliable van to set up as your living space and put the rest of the money in the bank. drive to a place with a year round warm climate and a beach and you should be on your way.

"homeless" is a mindset

once I hitch hiked from El Paso to Dallas with $20 a tent and a sleeping bag. I set up my tent in the woods of Grapevine lake. I walked into town and started applying for jobs. It took a couple of months before for I had enough money to get an apartment

when I got out of the Navy I had an old beat up RV that I bought while in the service. I drove the RV to the beach and lived there surfing and collecting unemplyment for six months

at no time did I ever consider myself homeless. I was just outdoors. "homeless" has a feeling of giving up. while some of us are just temporarily outdoors while regrouping. outdoors people get my respect and sympathy. homeless people do not
