What would you do if,,,

You were found to have a flesh eating bacteria on your face and you were given a choice. Either it could only be stopped by stripping the skin off down to the musculature and cosmetic surgery was impossible or they could "put you under" so to speak so that you could transcend peacefully...

I would choose the stripping of the flesh as I believe I could still serve a purpose.

What would you choose?

It would depend.

Where I was at in my life, what was going on...

if I was 94 years old.... just put a pillow on my face...

if it was today....hmmmmm....I would ask my kids what they want....and it would depend on the quality of life after surgery.

I dont give a sh*te about facial disfigurement...it could happen to anyone any time...fire, accidents...

it would really depend on quality of life afterwards.

it is possible to do it so there is hope....

onetime I went to a museum and this guy used plastics and some other artificial material to create limbs and that material for the skin felt really close to the right thing and with dna work being done they can actually recreate skin...

some science works are creepy but in the case of skin I think it is worth trying to work on

They are doing some amazing things now. Even if a face transplant is rare today, it might be common tomorrow. In the meantime you might find out who your real friends are.

my cousin lost both legs to the knees and all of her fingers as well as both thumbs to the knuckle to that bacteia ... she contracted it from the hospital when she was in giving birth to their 4th child ... it was horrible ... frown

I don't even want to contemplate the question ... scared

It depends. Would I be in a lot of pain all the time or would I feel fine and be able to live a normal life? If I wasn't in constant pain or always having to go to the doctor with various complications than I would want to live.
