"We have been sold out by the president of the United States and his so-called car czar," said Kenosha, WI Ald. Patrick Juliana. "It should have been up to them to make sure that every United States autoworker had a shot at keeping their job."

John Drew, former union leader in Kenosha, vowed that the United Auto Workers would fight to reverse the decision.

"We're outraged that they would be planning to close the plant in Kenosha at the same time that they're opening a plant in Mexico to build the engine that was promised to Kenosha," he said.

Now I'm just wondering with the stimulas and the bail out of the auto company one would think that they would be in good shape.

I keep seeing in the news our president saying the stimulas would save or create 3 to 4 million jobs. And with the bail out only the government can save the auto companies.

Tell that to the 800 in Kenosha, WI that will loose their jobs to a plant in Mexico.

What I find interesting is how the government is all about involvement these days. And intervention.

When was there this sudden shift in the US away from the capalist principles to a more socialist view? Or has it always been there just waiting for the right figure-head

I am among those who blame Bush for all those things that happened under him. I also blame Obama for the stuff happening under him now. So far he hasn't handled any of the bail out money worth a damn, and if it doesn't start happening right soon we're all going down the cr@pper.

On th' money!
MSM got him voted in because of his popularity. With that, he is able to gain lots of ground. It's looking like some of the intent is, Gov. holding shares in major Corps and banks.

Yes it relates to how he is running the country. Did he not appoint the car-zar? Did he not say only the government can save the car companies? If this is a start for how things to come will be then we are in for a world of hurt.
