North Carolina has its first confirmed case of the H1N1 swine flu – a person in Onslow County – Gov. Bev Perdue said at an afternoon news conference. The spouse of the Onslow resident is listed as one of six probable cases of the flu, said Dr. Jeffrey Engel, the state's Health Director. Engel said he suspects the spouse will be the state's second confirmed case of the virus pending lab results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Engel said the couple had been traveling recently in San Antonio, Texas. Damn Texas!
