I want to explode!


Here goes....

My daughter is going to a county school for the time
being....anyway...yesterday, I watched her get on the school bus at
6:39am. (btw, said bus stop is 16 miles from my house)

I got a phone call yesterday afternoon 12:32pm to be exact, from the HRS
CNTY POLICE that they have my daughter.

(mind you, I think she is at school all this time, well she usually gets
to the school by 8:15... that's how bad traffic is getting all the way
to the other side of Houston.. so, that should have put her at school
for at least 4 hours)

Neither the school nor the bus service, contacted me to tell me my
daughter got off the bus. (remember the police are the ones who called
me)
I am FURIOUS!
Both the school and the bus service are blaming the other for this...
AND, they are expecting me to be quiet about the whole thing and give
them a swat on the hands...NO EFFIN WAY!
What IF the phone call I got from the police was .. I'm sorry ms... you
need to identify the body... or what if she was kiddnapped?... I glad
she wasn't but WHAT IF??? and just how many times does this happen?

I was told that kids get off these busses daily and the bus drivers pick
up the kids in the afternoon and take them back to the drop off point so
the parents are none the wiser. OMG! and this school... this school is
supposed to account for every second of these kids whereabouts .. thats
why the kids are there in the first damn place!

Am I over reacting?

well, I'll tell you what I've done so far...
I've *****ed out the school
I've *****ed out the bus company
I've contacted a local news station
I've contacted a local radio station
I've contacted my lawyer
I've contacted the police to come out and document what happened
yesterday
I've contacted the other parents at the bus stop this morning
I personally *****ed out the bus driver and bus monitor

I can't believe that I'M the only one who sees a problem with what
happened.

What direction do I go now? I'm at a loss...

Again....am I over reacting?

OMG...I cant believe that the stupid driver let her off.Why did she get
off...did you ask her???

i would contact the supervisor of the bus drivers and DEMAND an
explanation!!

i think you have a reason to be upset...the drivers are sposed to do a
once-over on the bus..to make sure all kids got off the bus, and to
their required destination..

i think it was incredibly slacking of this particular bus driver to not
have done this..

however, it's not the school's problem, it IS however, the USD's
problem...take it up with them if you need to

The bus driver should be fired.He let her off before they got to the
school.The driver is in charge of that bus while he is in control of
it.Go ahead and make a big stink...I would.

sounds like you have done a great job in the actions you have taken stay
on it and pres with the press its gonna make things happen

When it involves your child , can you ever UNDER react ??... I think you
have done, and ARE doing ALL the correct things ... this is YUOR
daughter after all....

my guess is she rode to school and got off the bus but did noot go into
the building

Oh my God, I just can't beleive the bus driver let her off.What an
idiot.I'm a school bus driver and there is no way in hell, I will let
one child off without a written note from the parents giving me
permission to do so.
That driver should never be allowed to drive a school bus again EVER.
His or her job was to get on the 2way radio and get the dispatcher to
look into it, and NEVER let that child off the bus.

Wow, a bus monitor and that still happened. As a past driver for the
school system for a little town in Arkansas for two years we were told
that we were responsible for the kids from the time they got on the bus
until they got off the bus at school. We weren't allowed to touch them
in any way but to report bad behavior. We weren't allowed to let them
off at any place but what was decided by parents and the school. We
would get memos from school in the advent of changes. We didn't have
monitors.

she was feeling ill, and said she had to throw up.. so the driver let
her get off.... NOT with the bus monitor, but another student.. and left
them @ a gasstation

Why did the police have your daughter? Why did she get off the bus where
she wasn't supposed to?

she got off the bus at the 3 bus stop they didnt even take her to the
school..... he dropped her and another student off at an intersection
with a gas station

I just can't beleive what I'm reading here. Let her off at a gas
station and left?

the radio station just emailed me and directed me to an influential
journalist at another local tv station... told me to shoot a copy of the
email directing me to them

DON'T GIVE INTO THEM. LET THOSE B******DS KNOW THAT THEY ROYALLY SCREWED
UP. YOU DESREVE ACTION FROM THEM, THE RIGHT KIND THAT IS, AND YOU

yea too much left out of story....... like so why did the police call u
at noon? child must of been up to something..... i think the school
should of called u when she was absent? for one.... and so where did the
bus driver let her off? at the school where they were supposed too? are
they supposed to watch the child go into the school? and how old is this
child?

yes .. and know what they told me this morning.. cause i totally raised
a ruckus at the bus stop this morning...
the monitor said if your kid wants off the bus who am i to stop her?..

that is wrong of the busdriver!!!!!! should be fired!!!! and the school
should of called u too.....

You are right in protesting. Who knows how many other parents you will
be helping beside just yourself. You certainly have a case.
