Males being in charge of the witting of history and males have big egos
just never allowed them to write anything were women would be in charge
of the universe. A mistake I believe.

Now Jesse did paper first to women after he came back from the
dead.....Hmmmmmmmmmm

As man created god, man wrote the bible/koran/torah, they made up the
stories.

The bible has a collection of tales that have been accepted by popular
opinion ... sort of like The Brothers Grimm anthology of fairy tales.

... and no, no god is in charge.

Im just interested that women defer to the idea that the major religions
of the world are ruled by a male being.

The god of Eastern Mysticism has no gender overall.

However I do believe that when the describe is as the facets of a
trinity the describe the creator as being masculine, and the destroyer
as being feminine. Perhaps they have that backwards?

I mean, you’d think they would have had the feminine aspect give birth
to the universe at least?

I guess even the Eastern Mystics are guilty of male chauvinism.

And what would people have thought if the God of the Christians had sent
his only begotten daughter?

God mad MAN in His image.."man" meaning "mankind." God is not a man, nor
a woman. I think we just refer to "Him" using the male pronoun because
men generally have always thought they're superior to women. It wasn't
that long ago that we interchangeably used "he" to mean "he and she."
Now we use he/she or "they" or something more generic.

Alex you have a point.

Not about the control that is just 'Bl8tant' stirring the pot.

but we did all come from one of you and by the obverse you all came from
one of us.

It being the nature of the human image of god that one of you and one of
us = one of gods children.

Yin/yang being the balance we compliment each other.

Ok, exactly how can God have a gender - It is not even a physical being.
In fact in Genesis God addresses Itself in the plural, which, I can only
believe refers to both the Feminine and Masculine natures of the being.
Also, DON'T even think of giving me some schpiel about Jesus referring
to his Father, as proof. In those days, even today, for the ignorant,
it was believed that since Mary was female and the provided only the
receptical, that the baby (the sperm) was of God. God has no sperm, it
was the egg of Mary and her womb that takes precidence in that story.
For the female egg can be forced to divide and create life without
sperm, while the male sperm can not.

So there!

well buddha... isn't necessarily a male... i think whom you're referring
to is siddhartha Gautama.. a man whom reachered nirvana.. bc typically
buddha just means one who is enlightened..

but the other one.. god.. allah.. jehovah.. G-D, Yewah... they're all
names for the same God.

and then all organized religion has sexism inside of them there is a
Kirarchy institutionalized wtih in them, ( patriarchal system) that
is used to issue power to a certain group.. this is found in all
organized religions, but then again you have to look at who were the
founders.. and whom was the religion made for..

oh and just one more point actually God Allah yewah.. they're not given
a gender, it is the language that supplies an automatic he to it, in
reality God has no gender, however try calling god a she and either
people will get defensive with you or will laugh at you... i think that
shows something by itself

My sister used to say when God created man that she was only kidding.

Actually, many of my circle of friends refer to God as she. They do so
honestly and so often, it actually sounds natural, and I think they
believe it too, and why not, God is personal, that means it just all
depends on how you choose to relate.

There are Native American religions that are less patriarical, but
overall, yes religion is horribly sexist. Just look at Genisis and the
creation story. It is these worldviews that stemmed our lopsided ethics
of today. Never in the history of humankind has there been a matriarical
society.

I would have problem with thinking of God as she these days. In the past
that would be different. I am sure if someone could accept that there
was a God then they could accept the idea of God looking at it as, "Hey,
I have been called worse." If you look at it from a homophobic take and
you were male it might even be easier to accept that God was she. In
others words, "Oh, my God I am so glad you are female. I seriously
thought something was wrong with me." Or how about an Agnostic view? "I
am so in love with you God but I am not sure if you even exist." Or how
about an Athiest view. "I am so in love with you God. Too bad you don't
exist. We could have really had something to talk about."

I don't need drugs today. I have flashbacks to last a lifetime.

I think the coolest thing about believing in God is to believe that
something out there has a bigger ego than mine. I know it had to
exist.laugh
