to accept your love ?

All successful relationships come to the final destination of marriage. In the court of marriage all is fair if both the individuals love each other. But like we see in movies, the major problem comes when parents and family don’t agree to your marriage and love. Convincing your parents to accept your love is a major challenge.

It is my life so they can either like it or not. I choose who I want in my life and who I don't.

I walk in and announce that if they don't love who I'm with I will go gay. They will love them like they birthed them. :)

My parents are not really a defining part of my life. So that aspect doesn't matter.

As for my grandparents, as long as it is a healthy and happy relationship, it wouldn't matter to them.

Been there, done that in several ways....I know that my mom isn't going to accept whoever I want to be with, whoever that may be. She only wants me to be with someone she chooses for me, someone she thinks is "good enough for me". I honestly don't care. If I love someone and want to marry them then that's up to me, not her. I've already made it very clear that if she does not attend my wedding then she is no longer a part of my life, but that is her decision. I know my dad would support whoever it was because that's just who he is. I would be very surprised if my mom did show up at my wedding quite frankly. frustrated

My mom would order strippers to attend my wife-to-be's party. o0

She made this clear to me. As she would want to attend.
