Name? What does it mean?

Mine is Jill and all it means is that my parent's aren't very creative ohwell

My name is Tim. All it means is that my Dad got a chance to fill out the birth certificate before my drugged up mother could name me Christopher Columbus.

Seriously. That's what she wanted to name me.
surprised Way to go Dad

I agree. When my Mom told me that she was mad at my Dad for doing that...I actually called him and thanked him.

Of course, Dad didn't really have a clue either. He just flipped through the Bible and figured Timothy looked pretty good.

Meaning: Brave and Powerful; Leader

Pamela which is usually shortened to Pam

Pamela was created by the 16th century English poet and statesman Sir Philip Sidney for the name of a character in his pastoral "Arcadia". It's possible that the meaning is "honeyed sweetness" or "honey."

Pamela was later the name of British writer Samuel Richardson's heroine in "Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded" in the 1740's. His Pamela is a chaste and wilful country girl who does not give in to her employer's advances towards her. Moved, the gentleman will ultimately make her his wife.
