In Nam we had a little lady from one of the local villages as a scout attached to our unit. She was barely 5 foot tall, but I would have put my money on her in a fight against most men.

It's all about what you are committed to, and capable of, not about your gender. When the sh!t hits the fan you're too busy to think about "protecting a woman", you simply do your job, period!

Just like anyone, you earn your place in line. The "Greenies" (their fresh boots and fatigues always gave them away, and they reeked of soap and water! ) were never "trusted to perform" until they proved themselves. I'm sure the same would apply whether it be a man or a woman.

Sure...give em a M-16 with a grenade launcher...the question remains...Am I still gonna have to kill an icky spider for them later?
