That can be honest with others, no matter how harsh your words may be, yet can't handle the truth when given to you?

I'm too harsh...but I can take the truth so i'd have to say no...i.e a fairly large friend of mine was wearing a belly shirt and a tighter pair of jeans....she asked me if it gave her 'muffin tops' I told her she was beyond muffin tops and had loaves of bread hanging out...and to buy a longer shirt....she didn't like that response...but it was true

I try to not be harsh b/c I don't see the need to be that way but very rarely and if it gets to that point then there's something wrong... but I do know quite a few of those types..

Not really - I mean I am honest to a fault at times but I can certainly take it when it comes my way as well.

Wow, isaac, I like your honesty. People really do need to know that what they are wearing isn't suitable for them, especially if they ask.

I can dish it out and take it, but I've found that the version of the truth that you get back from someone after telling them something is generally tainted with spite for what you said.

Example from Sex and the City:
"Your penis is just too small."
"Well, maybe you're too big!"

I try not to be an ***...but people do need to know things aren't suitable for them...I use to dress a lot differently then I do now...because sorry the same way I dress as a teenager doesn't look right on someone in their late 20's lol. And if i'm wearing something that makes one cringe...please tell me!

Nine years in the army did a few good things for me.

It taught me that you can give someone really crappy news, but if you choose your words really carefully, and use tact, the message goes across better.

It also taught me to realize the person's frame of mind, and the expectations upon me, and my tasks, when they are critiquing (sp) me.

If I honestly made my best effort in anything, and it turns out crappy, I'll ask them to help me with the re-doing. Cuz nothing in the military gets done half-a$$ed. It's either whole-a$$ed, or not done..laugh

No. I tend to be very straight forward in my approach, and I respect and appreciate it when other people can do the same with me... no matter how hard things are to hear sometimes...

I would rather know, and understand... than guess, and act the fool because I did not really know the truth...

I prefer that people be honest with me and I can take "constructive criticism." I think there are people who don't want the truth even when they ask your opinion. Gotta pick and choose your battles I guess.

Well I will say, if you don't want to know the truth then don't ask. But on the same note, I can take it as well. I want nothing but the truth. Life is way better that way happy

wow that's pretty mean but really funny laugh. she didn't just have muffin tops, she had the whole backery, huh?

if i hurt someone's feelings it accidental. people are just so damn sensitive, which i really don't understand first-hand. it's very difficult to actually make me feel insulted.
