Why do non believers waste their time in Christian forums?
I dont spend anytime in Wiccan forums. Because I belive it to be false,a lie. Just as many people believe that The Bible, GOD, etc is a lie. Why waste one second of your life talking to people who believe such nonsense? Why debate a book that was written by man and is flawed if not out right false? Me? I concider myself a Christian. I believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of GOD. 100% infallible. You? Well you are enlighten and are not gonna be led around like a sheep!! You're educated! A free thinker!! So why waste your time with such a foolish topic? |

People are drawn to him, even when they say they dont believe. I know many of you might reply: "No I just like to hear morons like Benofzen talk out of his a$$" Fair enough. I think that on some deep level, everyone knows that there is a GOD. The evil and hypocrisy of men claiming to be "men of GOD" has soured many on GOD himself. But yet, you(non believers) still seek the truth. Good for you. |

But yet, you(non believers) still seek the truth. Good for you. I don't think it has anything to do w/ the "power of God's word, aka Jesus". Jesus was a mythological figure, which is readily provable. And since no words could ever be proven to be God's, there's no power there either. However, the ideas of such things are enticing and are therefore interesting to discuss. Most humans are predisposed to want a father type figure and many mythologies supply this figure. I would theorize that this is one reason why these mythologies are so hard to get rid of, dispite logical discourse and a mountain of evidence. I, for one, do not on some level know there is God. Such a knowing would require substantial, verifyable proof, for me. I have never come across such proof. And I am not capable of, nor have I an understanding of, faith. However, since I cannot disprove His existance, I cannot say there isn't a god type being somewhere in the universe (or beyond it, for that matter). Yes, I seek the truth, always. However, as far as God goes, I'm not holding my breath. As far as christianity goes, I believe it has been the most evil, distructive force humanity has ever inflicted on itself. However, Muslims seem to be doing their best to catch up, recently. I don't think you are, necessarily, a moron. Perhaps you're just a touch delusional though. ;> Later |

I do not participate in the Christian forum as I am listed in my profile as either an agnostic or atheist. This forums is specifically for EVERYONE to come together and discuss religious topics regardless of the specific religion. I hope that answers your question . . . |

Maybe if you listed to what some of them actually believe you'd realize that it's not nonsense. After all, look what you believe. You believe that some angry jealous god is peeved with you because you refuse to obey him. So instead of making himself known to you in-person and explaining precisely what he wants, instead he throws a temper tantum and has his son nailed to a pole to try to make you feel guilty. Because a lot of people are trying to pass the book off as being the "word of God" and attempting to use it as an excuse to spread bigtory and hatred toward many innocent people, such as anyone who doesn't agree with their view on this. Why do doctors waste their time trying to cure cancer? These ancient bigoted myths are just a cancer of humanity. They are clearly false. You claim that they are 100% infalliable. Yet, I've already given you several obvious fallacies associted with these myths. Not the least of which is the observed and scientifically confirmed fact that disease, nasty things, and death, had all existed prior to the arrival of human kind on planet Earth. The book that you claim is 100% infallible claims that mankind was responsible for being 'evil' and death, into the world. Clearly the book is flawed. You're claim that it's 100% infalliable simply doesn't stand up to the obsverved evidence. You're attempting to peddle a mythology that is clearly as false as Greek mythology was. Besides, Yahweh isn't all that much different from Zeus anyway. They were both appeased by blood sacrifices. Yahwah is just more obscessed with jealousy, male chauvinism, and bigotry against same-gender love. I don't think Zeus had any of those character flaws. Zeus actually was morally superior to Yahweh in character. If you're going to choose an ancient Mediterranean mythology to represent God, you should pick Zeus, he's a far nicer God.
