I didn't mean to laugh..the by woman part was just strange to me.

"Man" meant mankind in general (humans). For some scriptures, man might
mean man. Context..

Personally, I can't read the book of Ruth without tearing up. Ruth was
so dedicated to her mother in law that she decided to live life as a
widow to take care of her. And Ruth's mother in law loved her so much
that she treated her just like a daughter. That isn't the relationship
that we see presented by our society, but it's a beautiful story.

Where is the geneology from the female side of Genesis? There is great
knowledge hidden within the lines of our ancestors yet you can not see
it all without also knowing the full balance.

Where is the book of Mary?

Where can be found the writings of the wife of Noah.

Do you all think that only Men could read and write?

I have a much firmer grip on reality than that.

bored,

So you don't consider my first post in error please let me explain. I
was trying to condense.

"The changes in this doctrine caused unrest within the 'group' because
it was not being consistantlly adhered to. So some decided that they
would group the stories into codex, of books, that way the stories could
not be changed anymore."

The original stories, the part of the Bible that became the Old
Testament, was the Jewish standard of doctrine. It was the coming of
Jesus that changed the doctrine of faith. It was this event that led
some to believe that Old Testament prophecy was being fulfilled.

Because the Jewish doctrine changed, for those who saw Jesus as the
fulfillment of prophecy, it did cause unrest. It did become a source of
misunderstand and it did require that the same stories, with the same
philosophy or doctrine be told. This is why the stories were gathered
my monks and smaller cult like societies and written into codex form, or
in one book.

These are the stories that later became both the Old and New Testaments.
The reason for the the Bible was to promote the same beliefs using the
same doctrine for all Christians. You see, once compiled into this form
and blessed by those who compiled it as the inspired works of God, it
could no longer be changed.

However, it has been changed, as some 230,000 Christian sects prove.

I like that thorough explanation Red.

I think it's not so much what you say about how you word your posts that
may be offensive.

bored, no offence was meant by the "cult-like societies". It was a true
statement as the factions of the new Christian faith were often just
small societies who had segregated themselves for fear of persecution.
They did this so they could 'live' thier according to thier faith, and
not according to the the empire or the Jewish condemnation.

It was actually the writing of these stories into books, called codex,
and those who took those books and other oral stories with them on their
travel to teach from, that grew allowd the small cults to become one
Christian faith.

No degree, certainly not worthy one by any streach, but someday, I may
earn an honorary degree in the subject of life - but I hope that will be
many years away, still so much to learn and do.
