I never did understand what *bump* means.

spider thank you sir for equating me with the great (yet fictional)
Yoda.

Would that he could have been real. The world could use more of the
small quiet wisdom his charecter exuded.

Spider, I was quite surprised at the replies you received. After
reading your post, I thought, Now that's a good way to look at it.

After all, it seems fair that a faith that had it's roots in so much
turmoil should also have the means by which to defend ones beliefs.
Therefore, one had to become as a soldier, and since the faith taught
against 'literal' murder, the weapon of that soldier became the words,
the message, the sword.

Seemed like a fair assessment to me!

Grace is a pardon. We were pardoned from the curse of the law. Death.
When a govenor pardons someone it does not mean after he is pardoned he
can go committ the same crime and not be held accountable.
John 8:7-11
So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to
them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her
first." 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then
those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by
one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Yahshua was left
alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Yahshua had raised
Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where
are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"

11 She said, "No one, master."

And Yahshua said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

1 John 2:3-8

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He
who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the
love of YHWH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6
He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He
walked.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment
which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word
which you heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write
to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is
passing away, and the true light is already shining.
NKJV
Grace should be self explanatory... Miles
