Why do we put up with being subjigated? Why do we blindly accept that domination has to be apart of our lives? This world spins around with out it, and so can our lives. Reppression breeds nothing but retaliation and anger where cooperation and love breeds nothing but humanity. We need to look at ourselves and come to understand that supperiority does not exist, its nothing short of a mental illness, we are all just a part of our all to short existance and we all play an intigral part.
We destroy our brothers based only on fearfullness and ignorance. We allow ourselves to be used by other human beings we, while under a false pretence, deem as having the right to govern all other human beings while running rampant with tyranny. Its this hypocrisy that rips at the fabric of our own lives, and only a cleansing of our whole society can remove this sickness from our souls.
What our society needs, are individuals who arent afraid to seek the truth. To brave a new adventure into the true meaning of life and who arent afraid to do there part, in making this a better place. A place to live as equals, where the color of a mans skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes, where the gender of another isnt even a second thought. Where whos individuals liberties arent a subject of removel my anothers ideals.
A place where the philosophy where one is supperior and another inferrior has been totally discreated and the basic human rights are equally guaranteed by being just that, human.
Until that time comes, its our job to send forth those tiny ripples of hope, to destroy any ideal that allows for any type of oppression. To stand up and seize the moral high ground and never relinquish it no matter what threat is presented. This is the day my satyagraha begins

What our society needs is the understanding that being "politically correct" is evil. People need to understand the difference between right and wrong and think for themselves. It takes work. Most are lazy.

proverb:
All people are Equal...
However, SOME PEOPLE ARE MORE "EQUAL" THAN OTHERS!!!

Just because the OP is capable of governing yourself,
doesn't mean everybody else are -- most of the folks can't. Your just lucky to have something of value in between your shoulders!
In fact, without the government protecting your basic rights, there would be a total anarchy! * * *
The other side of the coin is that you have to adhere to the laws that may restrict some of your rights -- while protecting the rights of others...

P.S. Until you win the lottery -- at least a couple of mils -- you MUST play by the rules...
(By no means do I mean you wouldn't have to play by the rules After you win... But, at least then you'd be able to afford NOT TO...

The constitution protects all... It states that quite well...
Protecting the rights of others is as simple as following its guidelines... Without OUR personal pre-concieved predjudices.

Reality is only harsh when we allow it to be.

It may have been romantic rhetoric in that time...

In this time it is a 'survival of the species' imperative...

Advancing mankind to the next level

requires more work than

banging the drums of conflict...

17 y/o in the army... many years... Was not part of the 'hippy' dream...

I'm sure the hard labor of pondering the advancement of mankind to the next level" doesn't leave any time for reflecting the fact that -- for the 1st time in history -- New York was attacked 8 years ago...(*the death toll exceded thousands*!!!)
HOW'S THAT FOR "banging the drums of conflict? ? ?
I guess, as a proud american, you must be lucky to have such a short memory span... Then you better brace yourself -- I'm afraid more "surprises" are still ahead... TTYL tomorrow*
