My new Friend got flowers today, and she loved them...

I am Happy....

Congrats i am glad she liked them. Shame though you feel it necessary to ruin it all by posting your business for everyone to see. Ive seen this type of thing hundreds of times and its wrong, you shouldnt be airing all these details. Things are doomed from the start.

Call me what ya like for saying this, just take it on board for next time you 'meet' someone.

Why are you so against someone expressing something joyful in their life? This is not the first time I have noticed you post this negativity. Are you so miserable and jealous that you feel the need to try to belittle someone else and attempt to crush their joy? Your life would change so much for the better if you would try to see the glass as 1/2 full, not completely empty. Please spew your hatred and discontent elsewhere.

Namely because Dan is right. It happens all of the time on here. People post their early relationship finds on the boards and boom...doom sets in. I think he's just trying for G.L. to avoid that pitfall.

If someone even has a moment of joy and beauty in their lives, there is no harm in sharing that, and it may just bring hope to another reading the post.

True that. BUT...experience tells us "oldies" it isn't terribly wise. Of course everyone can post what ever they please and we all wish them well.

Im not miserable, i am extremely happy with my life, and i have a girl too so i cannot be jealous.

You can be naive if you like, but i am quite an expert in online dating and forums, i know how they work. If you cant see any sense in what i said, it means you are a novice.

He hasnt met the person yet, and he thinks she might be the one...he probably only first started talking to her within the last few weeks..

I was actually trying to be helpful, you jump straight in to online relationships like that, and you are setting yourself up for a disappointment.

And im not gonna stop posting what i feel because you tell me to.

All of us pretty much know how this online dating/forum stuff works.
It really doesn't matter what you think, or what I think, it matters that, for this moment, this person feels joy.
Why would you want to take away even the briefest of joyful moments from another? It does not matter whether the relationship doesn't work out, it is about this moment, right now! He is living for the joy of the moment, and that should never be quashed to express ones personal views.

I would expect his friends to back him up, that is what a friend does. It, however, doesn't change the fact he is extremely negative.
