Secretary of State Hillary Clinton snapped Monday after a Congolese student asked what her husband, former President Bill Clinton, thought about a Chinese loan offer to the African nation.

“You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?” Clinton said. “My husband is not secretary of state. I am. If you want my opinion I’ll tell you my opinion. I’m not going to be channeling my husband.”

An Clinton aide later said the question had been translated correctly. The student later approached Clinton and apologized.

According to NBC the question was translated incorrectly.

But she is secretary of state she could have handled it a little better. Shows she still hasn't gotten over Monica.

what does her not wanting to be her husband's mouthpiece have to do with her getting over his affair with monica? whether she's over it or not, she chose to stay married to him, so it's pretty irrelevant.

Hillary is irrelevant now...even Bill has rescued the journalist from North Korea.

She wants to out do him. But no matter, she should not have let her temper get the best of her. She is suppose to be the secretary of state not some bi@#$% old woman.

Or it shows she's human. Hillary is far too strong minded to be hung up about Monica of all people.

Hillary will never be irrelevant now or ever for that matter. Nor will Bill for that matter. At least to those of us that like them both.

 was waiting for someone to comment on this

I found nothing wrong with her response, she responded to the question (translated incorrectly) to her. She was neither disrespectful nor did I find that she snapped. Could she have handled it with a bit more tact, sure, but why she is the Sec. of State not Bill.
biggrin

She could have but then that is often a way to dismiss the fact that women can be irritate legitimately. Your hormones have a different affect at different ages, but then even men are affected by their hormones, though men don't like to admit that. winking

She snapped. Look at the footage. Look at her body posture. Listen to her tone. For whatever the reason she snapped.

She merely stated her point, she didn't snap, she had a point to say and said it. Now when I snap - there is no way to mistake it. Double standards at its best laugh

Good luck with that dating, old man. .. drinker It's ok for men to get irritated but when women do it their just Bit$ches or old... lol I think it's kind of refreshing to see our leaders act like normal people now and then. We the people can get out there and act like complete loons but if someone Like Hillary gets momentarily off message she's just an old woman or just a Bi$ch. How slowly we evolve. rofl
