| I just got an email from a woman I don't know, and have never seen in the forums. She said she saw and read my profile and has a dear friend that she feels would be perfect for me... that we would be a perfect match, I know there is no such thing as perfect, that is just the verbiage she used.. She gave me his screen name and told me I should contact him. Never has this happened to me...anyone? Nope, but I did save loads on car insurance by switching to Geico. | |

I say call her first. If she refuses to do that, then it's a guy trying to set himself up.

I actually did have this happen to me twice (when we were still JSH).. got an email asking me if they could have a friend contact me, or if I would rather contact them. In both cases I thought it was very sweet that a man would think "Hey, she's not the one for me, but I think she'd be great for my best friend". It spoke well of their character IMHO.

No, but I've gotten 'reference check' emails...someone who wanted to meet that had friends/family send me nice words about him. They did! That was just a little too strange for me!

Come to think of it , once a lady wrote an Email saying a friend (mentioning no names) thought we could be a good match. This woman was in Chicago and I am in Southern Cali
not a fat chance though any how I thought nothing of it. No big deal
