I'm a size 12, and by entertainment standards, that's fat.
Someone told me men don't care so much about sizes or inches, just a good bust-waist-hip ratio. But that's just one guy. Some men like their girls slim. So just throwing the question out there, what do you consider "fat"? |

5 feet 6 inches tall...393 pounds.
I work with someone like that. I'm not really sure she's even that tall. |

I wear a 12 and I don't consider myself fat. It also varies from culture to culture, what's fat for one may not be fat for another. I consider a guy to be fat if his hips are bigger than mine, though, LOL

I have zero clue what the sizes even mean.
bust-waist-hip ratio? Sounds complicated. What do I consider "fat?" Never really thought about it, but, when a woman- even a man- is too obese where it is uncomfy to sit down in chairs for them, they can't walk up or down stairs without becoming weezy - time to do something. When its just excessively out of shape. That is when I notice someone being "fat." You know it when you see it. |

I read where doctors say it is fifty pounds over your ideal weight. I think different people look good at different weights. That's more along the lines of what doctors consider " obese ". Even 20 pounds over the " ideal " ( which is a freakin joke in the first place ) is considered, by most doctors, to be " fat ". |

The young women of today are killing themselves to be "skinny"...I hear it all the time! A lot has to do with the with emphisis on skinny instead of being "healthy" I know little kids that think they're fat.. OMG what has this world come to...I admit I am overweight but at least I am trying to do something about it... eating healthy and exercising.. Would rather see someone a little over than bones sticking out all over...

Fat is actually a term used for over weight individuals and since it is a term used by individuals for other individuals there is no set standard of what is or isn't fat. We cannot go by the television because most of those women are anorexic. The camera puts weight on them so they have to be extremely thin in order to not look on iota over weight. Which truth would not be a bad thing if we saw realistic women on the television and in the mags. |
