Certainly Mikey. I would like anyone who opens this thread to become instantly ill.

I ALWAYS feel ill

but that is cause I AM ill haha

I have to leave in 30 minutes to drive an hour into the city to the dialysis clinic and let them poke GIANT needles into my arm for four hours while they pull all the blood out of my body and filter it before putting it back in. and since I hardly ever pee, the water buildup on my system means that they have to pull the water out of my blood. I routinely lose 6-10 lbs every time I go. and then I feel like crap AND have to drive an hour to get home. and I have to do it every other day rain or shine. It doesnt matter if I'm mad, it doesnt matter if I'm depressed. I have to do it anyway or die

just like this

as long as we're whinin bigsmile

You know Robin, this hopefully puts a lot of the crap we read out here on a daily basis into perspective....

and no matter how bad you have there are people who have it worse

some of those people in the clinic are diabetic and have lost both legs and have to be wheeled in and they make me look like a healthy spring chicken. so I count my blessings

ohwell Well, damn, I guess I can't complain about my headache, the itch in my throat that's making me cough, my burning eyes and being exhausted.

Seriously though, Quiet, having been on daily chemo for 12 years, I feel your pain, it's not easy but we do what we have to do. Good luck to you. flowerforyou

Robin~

The exhaustion you feel is unimaginable to me. If I could give you one of my kidneys I would.... Some day you'll get one. Or do they prefer to transplant two?

As well you should. My sister died from a blood cancer at age 53. She was the best and brightest person I've ever known, and I've known lots of people in my 50+ years. I never once heard complaints or regrets from her...

So, you have little sympathy for people that did not like the quality of last night's date?

usually just one

and now before I can continue the transplant process I have to treat the hepatitis C that found its way into my blood somehow. And treating that is the same as chemo. same drugs. for six months. But now the insurance comapany (Medicare part D) is denying coverage for the chemo drugs. I'm appealing that decision but if I can't get it, it'll be a showstopper on the tranplant

there's always sonething haha

hahaha I'm a redneck oilfield trash. I don't have sympathy for anybody that whines about anything. I was taught to suck it up and keep movin

my dad says "be like a duck. calm and placid on the surface and paddling like the devil underneath where no one can see"

I should tell you, Robin, that your kind strength and personality shines through as clearly in your posts as much as your love for the wicked hottie of a girlfriend you got there...

You are in my thoughts often, always sending positive vibes your way. My friend's recent dialysis really showed me more clearly the suffering you endure.

I don't feel special haha. I'm just a dumbazz redneck muddling along from day to day looking for something to laugh at (usually people hahaha)

I'm a firm believer that the kind things we think of others should always be spoken, for often they go unsaid. flowerforyou

It's not really that big a deal, Mitch, I work very hard to keep it a small part of my life. I only mention it if I think it may help someone else in some way.
