so i filed for an appeal for unemployment, when i got the notice i was going to get a call from the appeals tribunal i noticed that the number that had to reach my at was my disconnected cell phone number,i called in the same day i got to to have it changed to the home from the lady said that she was going to email the man my home number and it was all taken care off.

well today was the day i was supposed to get call on the home phone about the appeal,i was never called so i called the 1 800 number and i was then informed that the guy who was originally supposed to call me was not there today and that another person will call me.when the other man called he said he didnt have the new number in my file and id have to re-appeal to reopen my appeal.

soo when i called back the 800 number i asked the the what number she had on file to reach me was, well it was my home number!so now ive got to fax these people and state why i need it reopened and what happend!

So the lesson here...? Get a slacker job within the government and you wont have to be responsible for your actions or worry about unemployment.frustrated

Good Luck!

Shshshsh I got to say it if no one else will.........if ya learn to fill out the paper work right the first time these things would not happen.... why blame them for something they were only doing their job on...........I filed mine online and did not have a bit of problem.... actually was the easiest thing I have ever filled out in my life............JMO...............bigsmile

Hummmm but I did not have to appeal mine got it the first time only time you have to appeal it is if the employer is not agreeing with why you no longer work there...........and they don't think you deserve unemployment...

I really tried not to post but couldn't help myself.

There are super performers and those that barely do the minimum required in every profession and the Government is no exception.

That said, unlike most other professions people seem to have no problem lumping all Government employees together when being critical. There are those of us who truly care about what we do and go out of our way to be professional, courteous and helpful.

This is true but regardless with the amount of people on unemployment at this time if the paper work is not done correctly the first time they will kick it back and make you redo it all over. This is in about ever aspect of work anymore. It is not up to them to make sure you have crossed your T's and dotted your i's just to make sure that you have. And if not they are told to reject it and send it back to be done correctly. I don't blame them I would send it back as well. And I have in my line of work as well......bigsmile

And then there are others who expect you to immediately jump through their hoops when they call or send a letter, but can't be bothered to return a damn phone call. You're lucky you can ever reach them at all. You're more likely to get their voicemail every time.
