Yup, most definitely. I do get a regular pedicure, used to be every 2-3 weeks, now it's more like every 6 (sometimes more). But, with the economy the way it is, I'd rather give up my own indulgences than anyone else in my family. Hopefully, it's just temporary (been saying that for over a year now lol). flowerforyou

I took my little Schnauzer to be groomed yesterday and got such a good feeling seeing him all spiffy again. But, I do get my nails done once a month.

good for you

I take time for 'me' as well - mani, pedi, hair, and of course shoes... but not nearly as much as I'd like to.

I do my own manicure and pedicure 'cause I can't afford to even breathe the air in those places, let alone pay for pampering, but either way, I do think it's important to take care of yourself so you are able to take care of others.

I probably wouldn't even if I had the money. There always seems to be someone else around here needing something more urgently.

I have never had a professional anything...lol. Well, except my hair. Seems like the house, the kids, the cars, the dog...everyone else is always needing something! I can make my feets look perty good though, on my own....laugh

Every once in a while....in the summertime....when the weather is right....I've been known to sleep outside in a hammock.

Ohhhhhhh, I wanted to do that. Bought a parachute type hammock that was supposed to be real comfy. When it arrived in the mail I realized I had no place to hang it!...laugh I will keep taking it along when we go camping and certainly one of these times there will be 2 perfect trees.

I started doing that back in '81, when I stayed at Andrews Air Force Base. Did it for a week straight. The day temperature was always above 90, and the nights never went below 70.

Sure! Can't survive without my brazilian wax or the occasional trip to the Little Tokyo massage Parlour.

I kid.

When I spoil myself it is frivolous stuff like art supplies or non staple grocery items (sea food!!!!)

I figure I can just gnaw off my own toe crusties instead of paying some poor chick to do it for me.

I spoil myself: mani/pedi every 2 weeks and I have my hair cut and colored every 6 weeks. I also have nice things in my home, and I vacation often, etc.

That one thing I do not do for myself is bodywork! I AM a massage therapist -- I have a huge CMT network -- but I never make time for bodywork unless I have an injury. slaphead

I always make myself empty promises to start regular massages but it never happens. sad2

Not enough time in the day lol....I would love to have more ME time for sure... Being a single mom and self employed with two companies doesnt leave much room for jetting out to the spa which I use to frequent for everything from facials, massage, waxing, hair, nails and toes..

However I am very good at doing mani and pedi... so good it became a rage with my friends and now I end up doing others more then I do my own I guess the girls are suckers for beautiful art and stones on their big toes lol!

Perhaps in the new yr I will make a resolution to take time to get out and spoil myself just a little once in while. Woman and Moms need pampering too... have to keep telling myself that!
