I'd disagree whole heartedly... In China they are paid far less in most cases, they are kicked out of their homes and onto the street when the country wants something... I don't see why people are here when they hate it so much...

Mostly I was talking about one accepting government money rather than earning an honest living and then sitting and complaining about this country.. not to mention talking horribly about our service people when if it weren't for them, would you be in a free country? or would it have been changed a very long time ago?

And still China is better off than the states...I have nothing against the military, I'm against government of any kind.

I guess it's all in your perception on what "better off" means... If you're talking financially sure they are... Do they support all of their people like we do? I don't know I've never looked into it...

The economy is affecting everyone in different ways, taxes are up so that means paychecks are lower, job losses at an all-time high creates more poverty, multiple oversea wars spreads troops too thin which means if there were an attack on our soil we would be less prepared (this should be resolved coming up with troops being pulled out of Iraq), foreign relations are at an all-time low with multiple countries Mexico being one of them which decreases the security at the border with Mexico not willing to enforce the border policy.

We are not that well off anymore, we are far worse off and if it doesn't turn around quickly there will be far more affected by the current state of things. We can't throw more money into our country, we shouldn't have done it in the first place, we have to get our military priorities straightened out so that we can better protect our citizens. There are two points to every great civilization; military and economy, where one fails the other is soon to follow which is prevalent throughout history.

Call me an optimist, I think it will be fine... It will take time to recover but we will recover.. In the meantime, we shouldn't forget what made this country what it is and who we should be thankful to for our freedom... Every country has it's issues and if people are only happy when things are good and hate it when things aren't so good then they are just fair weather friends so to speak...

I so love when people are so young, have the perfect idea of how life -should- be and -is-, how bad our country is compared to others. They've experienced soo much- lived in other countries so know exactly what they're talkng about instead of like most whom only go on what they've only heard, or seen on Idiot TV.
