Hi steveareno24,

That sounds like a mutual match notice. You can read what that is at this link

I am also having some issuies with the internal email. I have been sent multiple emails from some friends. I have no record of ever recieving them. So i tried to send emails back to them and they have said they have not recieved anything from me either!

If you no longer want to receive Mutual Match notices, then you can go to this link and uncheck that option. Mutual Match is just a fun way to connect to others.

I received five email notifications but when I checked my inbox there were no messages. Do you have to pay to see incoming messages?

Hi Kevin52403,

No, you do not have to pay to read emails. It sounds like it is the Mutual Match that I previously posted about in here.

http://mingle2.com/mutual_match/faq

that link will explain Mutual Match

imagelost,

are you adding contact information in your initial emails? If so, then the spam filter on this site will catch them. If this is not the problem, please explain.

Thanks,

Kim

You do not have to pay in order to see incoming messages, Kevin52403.

As for these phantom emails, I am pretty sure that they are the result of this situation:
http://mingle2.com/topic/show/255997

We had to delete all for the emails those accounts sent out (for our members' protection), but the email notifications cannot be canceled, obviously. Perhaps I will make a note of that in the posts.

Listed below is one of the five emails I mentioned. I did not contact them but sent me an email, therefore I can not say what the content is. Hope this helps.

Yeah, it's as I suspected. That user name is of the general form that these scammers employed. Sorry for the confusion, but those were scam emails.

Thank you for clearing things up.
