My son had a seizure last night and stopped breathing. I took him to the ER and they transferred him to another local hospital with a pediatric ICU. He was put on a breathing machine and they did a lot of tests on him. As of this morning, they've done chest x-rays, a CT scan, lots of bloodwork and will be doing an EEG for the seizures. He is stable but they think he won't be released until tomorrow sometime. I am a wreck, slept at the hospital last night, came home just to get a shower, clean clothes and then heading right back up to be with him.

Thank you everyone for your kind and comforting words. I am hoping they'll be done with the EEG til I get back, he was really agitated when they tried to start the procedure. I left at that point to come home and get refreshed and ready to go back up. God bless you all for your kindness.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. As a nurse, I understand how scary it is for a parent to watch their child suffer illness. Was he running a fever? Has he ever had them before? Has he been sick recently?
