I sat for 5 hours to finish mine... my artist doesn't believe in numbing scream tho, not sure I would have even asked for it if I was given the chance. She told me big tough guys come in there asking for that stuff LOL

I have a tattoo on the back of my neck.... I first had it done about 6 years ago by a friend of my ex boyfriend who was just getting into tattooing. (BTW don't ever let newbies tattoo you)

Anyway the tattoo had faded really bad (due to cheap ink) and I had it re-done about 2 months ago. I must say going over an existing tattoo on the back of your neck is NOT PLEASANT and I actually preferred 5 hours on my arm to the 1.5 hours on my neck. surprised

Well I suppose the cumulus effect is that I am
now armed with the info I need to postpone it
indefinitely :-)

Actually, I just hired on with a big company
(3 doors down from me) to originate web sites
for them, so I will have no excess brain power
left with which to think about real ink for a bit.

I only have one above my l. breast. When it was removed asked the doc to save the tattoo, he did, cutting around it. A couple of things- make sure that who ever does your tat has a onclave for sterialization (that goes for manicurists also- watch out- hepitisis(sp) and nail fungus) also if your tat is exposed- use sunscreen!!! otherwise the colours will fade fast and black ink turns green over time.
