You are all invited to my place for Christmas dinner, I will be serving;

Roast turkey, roast beef, roast pork, pigs in blankets (that's chipolatas wrapped in streaky bacon) red beans and rice cooked in coconut milk with herbs and spices.Honey glazed carrots,honey and mustard glazed parsnips, roast potatoes,broccoli, sage and onion stuffing, and gravy. To follow, pineapple tarts, mince tarts, figgy pudding, iced brandy fruit cake, lashings of wine, beer, Baileys........ infact a whole brewery!! laugh laugh laugh

What do you guys have on that side of the pond as a traditional Christmas dinner?

Forgot to mention my sister-in-law is a vegetarian, does anyone know how to make nut cutlets taste anything other than nut cutlets? It's either that or some of Linda Macartney's veggie sausages.

Tradition has it's place. But that's when you are with family. This year will be swordfish steaks,asparagus, garlic potatoes, and key lime pie.

Homemade, from scratch ...

Cheese tamales tonight.

Kung Pao tofu, extra spicy, with jasmine rice tomorrow.

Cherry Pie whenever I want to munch on a piece! drool

My parents passed away in 2005 and my friends are spending their holiday with their families. It's just me and my pets this year. smile2

As a matter of fact, my father passed away today in 2005. It's such a peaceful day thinking of his life! smitten

I just had some awesome fish and fries, with red wine and steamed veggies. Traditionally in our family we eat fish on Christmas eve. :smile:
